The Hidden Risk Inside Your Workforce

Osteoporosis costs UK employers £129 million in lost productivity every year. The fractures driving those losses begin silently — no pain, no warning — in professionals aged 40 to 60. The seniority of those most affected maps precisely onto your most valuable fee earners, partners, and executives.

A single senior associate or partner hip fracture costs a firm £200,000–£500,000 in lost billing, recruitment, and knowledge transfer. One corporate screening programme costs a fraction of that — and identifies the individuals at risk before an event occurs.

The evidence for UK employers:

  • 81,000 working-age adults suffer osteoporotic fractures in the UK every year
  • 27,000 leave employment as a direct result — including your senior people
  • 2.6 million sick days are lost annually to osteoporosis-related absence
  • 86% of total productivity costs fall in the 50–69 age bracket — the partner and director cohort
  • Half of all women over 50 will suffer a fracture; so will one in five men

This Is Not a Tick-Box Health Check

Unlike general corporate health MOTs, the London Osteoporosis Clinic delivers specialist bone density assessment interpreted by a Consultant Rheumatologist with over 30 years of experience in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease — and a clinical pathway that actively reverses bone loss, not just detects it.

Provider What You Get
General corporate health screening (BUPA, Nuffield) Standard health MOTs — no specialist bone assessment, no reversal pathway
Occupational health providers Reactive absence management — not proactive prevention
PMI coverage Treats after diagnosis — does not screen before symptoms appear
London Osteoporosis Clinic Specialist DXA-guided assessment + BoneRevive® reversal pathway. Average 8–12% annual improvement in bone mineral density. Unique in the UK.

Absolute Clinical Confidentiality

All clinical assessments and findings remain strictly confidential to the individual participant. No personal medical data is shared with employers.

Organisations receive confirmation of programme participation only. Clinical duty of care rests entirely with the patient and the treating clinician.

This means your employees receive specialist medical care with complete privacy — while you fulfil your duty of care and provide a genuinely valuable executive health benefit.

What This Delivers for Your Organisation

Workforce longevity

Protecting the health and professional independence of your senior people.

Menopause policy support

Bone health screening is the clinical extension of any menopause support programme. Menopause causes up to 20% bone loss — LOC measures and reverses it.

Reduced absence and injury risk

Fracture prevention avoids prolonged rehabilitation, succession disruption, and knowledge loss.

Executive-level health benefit

A meaningful, differentiated benefit that senior professionals value — and that your firm’s wellbeing programme does not yet include.

ESG and duty of care reporting

DXA-tracked, measurable outcomes. Aggregate anonymised reporting for your wellbeing and board-level ESG reporting.
