Dr. Taher Mahmud - Consultant Rheumatologist

Dr Taher Mahmud

Consultant Rheumatologist | Co-Founder & Clinical Lead (Bone Health)

Dr Taher Mahmud is Consultant Rheumatologist and Co-Founder of the London Osteoporosis Clinic. He trained at King’s College Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital, and Guy’s Hospital.

His work focuses on preventative bone health, longitudinal monitoring, and personalised programmes to reduce fracture risk and improve long-term outcomes. His MD and MSc research examined drug side effects, and he leads the clinic with a strong emphasis on careful, measured, and patient-centred care.

Dr Naeem Ahmed is a Consultant Radiologist who trained at Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Hospital, and completed a subspecialty imaging fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Alongside his clinical work, he is involved in wider health initiatives and is a co-founder of ImproveWell and founder of Selfless, a global health NGO.
